SBAM’s Grassroots Coordinator and Policy Advisor, Jacob Manning, testified with Lindsey Potter, owner of Bright Light Early Care & Education and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Childcare Providers Association of Michigan. They appeared before the House Rules Committee to address concerns about overregulation and complex rules affecting small businesses. Their testimony highlighted how these challenges are particularly problematic in the childcare industry.

Manning and Potter discussed how regulatory hurdles can hinder operations and growth within this sector. The testimony aimed to shed light on specific issues faced by childcare providers due to existing regulations.

Their appearance is part of ongoing efforts to advocate for policy changes that could alleviate some of these burdens on small business owners in the childcare field.
