The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced that starting Thursday, Oct. 30, two ramps on I-496 at Creyts Road in Eaton County will be closed for pavement warranty work.
According to MDOT, the eastbound I-496 Exit 1 to Creyts Road will be closed from 6 a.m. on Oct. 30 until 7 p.m. on Nov. 6. Additionally, the entrance ramp from Creyts Road to westbound I-496 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and consider using alternate routes during these closures.
MDOT stated, "This project will increase safety for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway."
The affected area is near Lansing, with the work aimed at maintaining and improving road conditions for drivers in the region.
