The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) will transition from its current MiWAM system to a new platform, MiUI, in December 2025. The agency says the upgrade is designed to improve efficiency, security, and usability for employers and third-party administrators.
MiUI is scheduled to launch on December 15, 2025. In preparation for this change, some functions of the existing MiWAM system—such as eRegistration, business transfers, and seasonal employer applications—will be phased out between November 7 and December 5.
Employers and third-party administrators are advised to complete any necessary tasks in MiWAM before these shutdowns take effect. Additional information and resources about the new computer system can be found at MiUI University.
