Applications have opened for Michigan’s Going PRO Talent Fund, a state grant program that helps businesses train and develop their workforce. The program is designed to support both current employees and new hires with skills development.
This year, the fund has less money available, making the application process more competitive than in previous years. According to the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, which supports the program, this will be the first round of applications for the fiscal year. A second round is expected to open later in 2026.
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) manages the program. Employers can receive reimbursement through awards coordinated by Michigan Works! Associations across the state. Depending on employment type, businesses may be reimbursed between $2,000 and $3,500 per employee to help cover training costs.
For more information or questions about the application process, interested parties are advised to contact Randy Gross.
