The U.S. Chamber is seeking feedback from small and mid-sized businesses about the impact of a new Presidential Proclamation that imposes a $100,000 fee on H-1B visas. The organization is considering ways to challenge the measure.

The fee, which became effective on September 21, is expected to limit employers' ability to hire highly educated foreign workers and increase operational costs for businesses. These changes could affect access to critical talent in an already competitive business environment.

Businesses interested in sharing their experiences or concerns regarding the new policy are encouraged to contact Wendy Block at wblock@michamber.com.
