The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has expressed its approval following the election of Rep. Matt Hall as Speaker of the House for Michigan's 103rd Legislature. The statement was released by NFIB Michigan State Director Amanda Fisher.
"NFIB would like to congratulate Rep. Matt Hall (R-42) on being elected as Speaker of the House for the 103rd Legislature," said Fisher. She emphasized that small business owners could "breathe a sigh of relief now that Speaker Matt Hall is running the House."
Fisher highlighted Hall's past efforts, stating, "Over the past two years, then Leader Hall and the Republican Caucus have continually shown their support for small businesses by fighting against destructive policies that would harm small businesses and putting forth legislation that promotes free enterprise."
Looking ahead, Fisher noted NFIB's eagerness to maintain its collaboration with Speaker Hall and the new House majority. She stated, "As we move into the new legislative session, NFIB is grateful to continue its partnership with Speaker Hall and work together crafting public policy that will make Michigan a place where small businesses and their employees can thrive."
