2021 Standale Scarecrow Contest Participants and Winners

City of Walker issued the following announcement on Oct 26.

The City of Walker, Standale Downtown Development Authority, and the Community Engagement Committee would like to thank all those who participated in the 2021 Standale Scarecrow Contest!

Nearly a dozen businesses and organizations created detailed and unique scarecrows that sit against light poles along the the stretch of Lake Michigan through Standale, beginning at Barkwood Drive (across the street from Standale Wendy's) all the way to 4761 Lake Michigan Drive NW. (across from Goodwill.)

The 2021 winners are:

1st Place: Seven & Mane Salon

2nd Place: Standale Reformed Church

3rd Place: Walker Fire Department

The scarecrows were judged by followers on the City of Walker's Facebook page and will remain up through Halloween.

Seven and Mane Salon: 4761 Lake MI Dr. NW.

New Beginnings Restaurant: 4735 Lake MI Dr. NW.

Walker Fire Station #2: 4101 Lake MI Dr. NW.

Empire Beauty School: Near 4071 Lake MI Dr. NW.

Life Stream Church: East of Standale Plaza NW.

Arsulowicz Eye Care: 3935 Lake MI Dr. NW.

(South side of Lake Michigan Drive)

Blain's Farm & Fleet: Near 4160 Lake MI Dr. NW.

Standale Reformed Church: 4290 Lake MI Dr. NW.

* Please keep in mind some of the scarecrows are not located at the same street address as its creators.
