The Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of four new small business owners. These appointments, effective from July 1, bring representation from Houghton, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Royal Oak.

SBAM President and CEO Brian Calley expressed optimism about the new board members. "I’m encouraged by the strength and experience of SBAM’s new Board of Directors," he stated. He emphasized the importance of their role in providing strategic direction as Michigan's small business landscape evolves. "As Michigan’s small business owners face a rapidly changing landscape, this group of dedicated leaders will provide thoughtful, strategic direction as we continue to advocate for a stronger entrepreneurial environment and deliver real solutions to help all small businesses thrive."

The newly appointed board members are Adrian Hemond from Grassroots Midwest in Lansing, Blaine Tillander from Granite Networks in Royal Oak, Karyn Olsson from Marketing Department in Houghton, and Jon Tellier from JetCo Federal in Grand Rapids.

Sheri Welsh has been named Board Chair. She owns Welsh & Associates in Kalamazoo, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise specializing in professional staffing and recruiting.

SBAM is committed to serving Michigan's small business community through advocacy and collaboration. The organization represents over 32,000 members across all 83 counties in Michigan.
