The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced the closure of the Five Lakes Rest Area located on eastbound I-69 in Lapeer County. The rest area is closed for repairs due to issues with the lift system. MDOT crews are currently evaluating these issues and will proceed with necessary repairs to reopen the facility as soon as possible.

Despite the closure of the rest area, the parking lot remains open for use by travelers.

For those seeking alternative locations, a map of all MDOT Welcome Centers and rest areas is available online.
