A poll commissioned by the Michigan Comeback Fund reveals a tightly contested U.S. Senate race between former House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers and Democrat Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin. The poll was conducted between September 11th to September 15th and surveyed 600 likely voters in Michigan.

Slotkin leads with 48% of the vote to Rogers' 44%. With a statistical tie in the margin of error, the race is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in the 2024 election cycle.

The poll indicates that undecided voters will play a pivotal role, with 68% of them expressing disapproval of President Joe Biden's job performance.

A generic Republican leads the congressional ballot by a wide margin of 39-18 among undecided voters.

Elissa Slotkin has centered her campaign on healthcare, supporting the expansion of Medicare and efforts to combat the rising costs of prescription drugs. She emphasizes environmental protections and gun control measures.

Mike Rogers is focusing on national security, having a long record from his tenure in the House. His campaign includes securing the southern border, addressing the fentanyl crisis, and reducing government regulations to foster economic growth in Michigan.

Despite the slight edge for Slotkin, neither candidate has fully defined themselves to the broader electorate. The poll shows that 28% of likely voters have yet to form an opinion on Rogers, while 24% remain unsure about Slotkin.
