MDHHS hosting virtual baby fairs in July for new or expecting families

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is organizing two virtual baby fairs for new or expecting parents in July. These events will provide families with information about available resources, health and safety guidelines, and an opportunity to interact directly with program experts.

The events are free of charge and scheduled as follows:

- Wednesday, July 10, from 9 to 11 a.m.

- Tuesday, July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Several MDHHS programs will participate in the event, including Care for MiWell, Newborn Screening, Michigan BioTrust for Health, Infant Safe Sleep, Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Immunizations, Early Hearing Detection and Intervention, Birth Defects Education and Outreach, Breastfeeding Support, Childhood Lead Prevention Education, Vital Records, Michigan Home Visiting Initiative, Maternal Infant Health Program, Children’s Special Health Care Services, Eat Safe Fish program initiatives on Unintentional Injury Prevention and Oral Health Program. Additionally included are PFAS Education and the Michigan Maternal Mortality Surveillance's Hear Her Michigan Campaign along with the MDHHS Doula Initiative.
