EAST LANSING, Mich. — Counselors from the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties (CMH) will continue to offer crisis support at the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road, throughout the month of April.
Community members in need of support following the tragic events that took place on Michigan State University’s (MSU) campus on Feb. 13 are encouraged to stop by the library on the following dates/times for counseling services:
- Mondays: April 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 12:30-5 p.m.
- Wednesdays: April 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 12:30-5 p.m.
- Fridays: April 7, 14, and 21 from 12:30-5 p.m.
Counseling services at the ELPL are offered at no charge to community members and no appointment is required. Therapy dogs will be available intermittently.
The ELPL also has plans to host Stress Busters, a CMH program designed for children, ages 7-11 years old. Visit the ELPL events page, where dates will be posted once they are finalized: https://elpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/events.
