Mega Millions jackpot reaches $547 million ahead of tonight’s drawing

A $547 million Mega Millions jackpot is available in tonight's drawing, with a cash option of $251.7 million. If the jackpot is won, it would be the fifth time this year that someone has claimed the top prize and would set a new record for the largest Mega Millions win of 2025.

Tonight’s drawing marks the 29th since the last jackpot was won on June 27, when a single ticket purchased in Virginia secured a $348 million prize. The most recent Mega Millions jackpot win in Michigan occurred in January 2021, when an Oakland County lottery club won $1.05 billion—the largest prize ever awarded in Michigan.

Tickets are being sold at retailers statewide until 10:45 p.m., and can also be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com. Each Mega Millions play costs $5 and includes a multiplier feature that can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to ten times, up to a maximum of $10 million. The game is available in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
