The Farmington Community Library will celebrate the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior on January 16 with events including sign-making and a legacy march, a student-led discussion, an MLK historical presenter with a vocalist, dance performances, and more!
All events take place in person at Farmington Community Library’s Farmington Hills location. Farmington Hills City Council members will judge the MLK Student Community Challenge, which asked students to envision a future that reflects the theme of bravery, togetherness, or justice. Students create either a poster, 3D model/diorama, poem, painting, or a sculpture that reflects their vision. For full details about the challenge, visit www.farmlib.org/mlk-student-challenge/. The award ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on MLK Day.
