Congratulations are in order for Baker College Nursing student, Heather Scott Nail, who was recently awarded a $1,400 Program for Continuing Education grant from the Board of Trustees of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.). The P.E.O., established in 1869, is dedicated to celebrating the advancement of women and educating women through scholarships, grants, awards and loans.
Heather was sponsored for her award by Chapter BV of Jackson, one of two P.E.O. chapters in Jackson, Mich., and one of numerous chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The $1,400 grant will be used to help Heather, a wife and mother of a three-year-old daughter, finance her pursuit of a Bachelor of Nursing degree, which she expects to complete in spring 2021. After graduation, Heather hopes to work in Pediatrics or Obstetrics, with the ultimate goal of one day working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Congratulations, Heather! You make us BakerProud.
