AUSTIN, Texas - On Wednesday, it was announced that William LaCount, Leo Nolles, and Tobie Stiles of the NMU swim and dive team have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-America Second and Third Team honorees.

This is LaCount's second time being named to the second team, having received the same honor last season. Meanwhile, this recognition marks the first Academic All-America distinction for Nolles and Stiles, both of whom secured spots on the third team.

LaCount, a junior with a 3.87 GPA, achieved second place in the 200 free relay at the 2025 NCAA Championship and received four All-America honors. At the current GLIAC Championships, LaCount took home gold in the 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, and silver in the 400 medley relay. A recipient of the 2024 CSC All-District award, LaCount now has another All-America accolade to add to consecutive seasons of success.

Nolles, a junior studying Athletic Coaching with a 3.69 GPA, was named the 2025 GLIAC Swimmer of the Year. This season, he won individual bronze medals in the 50 and 100 free as well as a silver medal in the 200 free relay at the NCAA Championship, along with six All-America honors. Nolles claimed seven medals at this year's conference championships and competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics for Uruguay. He earns his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District recognition and his first All-America honor.

Stiles, also a junior majoring in Marketing with a 3.82 GPA, is recognized as a second-team All-American in 1 and 3 meter diving both this year and last at the NCAA Championships. He also won a silver medal in the 1-meter dive at this year's conference championship. Named the 2023 GLIAC Diver of the Year, Stiles now receives his first career Academic All-America honors, following his second-straight Academic All-District acknowledgment.
