There are only a few hours remaining for an individual to claim a $250,000 Powerball prize before the funds are transferred to the state School Aid Fund. The ticket will expire at 4:45 p.m. today.

The winning ticket was sold on March 11, 2024, at the Kroger store located at 4099 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Hills. It matched four white balls and the Powerball drawn: 01-03-07-16-66 PB: 05, securing a $50,000 prize that was increased to $250,000 due to the Power Play option.

The winner is advised to contact the Lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to arrange an appointment for claiming their prize. The collection must take place at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing.

Powerball tickets remain valid for one year from their drawing date. Therefore, this prize must be claimed by today's deadline of 4:45 p.m. Should it remain unclaimed by then, the funds will be directed to the state School Aid Fund.

Powerball plays can be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers statewide or online at MichiganLottery.com. An additional “Power Play” option is available for $1, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes up to ten times with a maximum of $2 million. Another option called Double Play offers players a second chance to win up to $10 million in nightly drawings for an extra $1 per play.

Powerball drawings occur at 10:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and can be viewed live online at http://www.powerball.com. Tickets are available in 45 states as well as Washington D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
