The Commercial Alliance of Realtors West Michigan (CARWM) held its 22nd Annual Award Celebration, recognizing notable achievements in the real estate sector. The event honored members for their contributions and successful projects across various categories.
Chris Prins from DAR Commercial was named "Realtor of the Year," while Shaun Biel of Advantage Commercial Real Estate received the "Property Manager of the Year" award. Brian Klaver from United Bank of Michigan was acknowledged as "Affiliate of the Year." Blake Bruursema, also from Advantage Commercial Real Estate, was recognized as "Rookie of the Year."
Bryan Cody from Cody & Company earned recognition as a "Realtor Active in Politics." Eric Finnigan from Moxie Real Estate + Development was awarded for his work on the Veterans Affairs building in Saginaw under the Build to Suit Mid-Michigan Project/Transaction category.
In West Michigan, Ben Sietsema of Honey Crisp Ventures was honored for his project at 1070 N. Gateway. John Kuiper and Trent Wieringa from Advantage Commercial Real Estate were acknowledged for their work on Trane BTS under the Build to Suit Lease Project category.
Case Overweg and Kevin VanHaistma from Bradley Company received accolades for their involvement in the Grand River Construction project within the Industrial Project category. An industrial transaction involving Trent Wieringa and Duke Suwyn of Advantage Commercial Real Estate and Jason DeWitt from Lakeshore Commercial at 13467 Quincy was also highlighted.
Trent Wieringa teamed up with Dave Rapp for an investment project titled Dorr Land Sale, while Blake Bruursema joined forces with Duke Suwyn and others for an office sale project at 300 Ionia NW. The Office Project - Lease award went to Sarah Noordyke, Jeff Karger, Mary Anne Wisinski Rosely, and Jason Makowski for BDO's office relocation to 109 Michigan St.
Retail redevelopment efforts by Jon Geenen at Soar and Bounce in Norton Shores were recognized alongside Mark Ansara's Retail Lakeshore Project at Dockside Market Place in Saugatuck. Additionally, Mark Ansara collaborated with Mike Murray on The Village @ Knapp’s Crossing under Retail Build to Suit Project.
