The NMU women's nordic ski team is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Skiing Championships in Hanover, New Hampshire. The event will take place at Oak Hill and The Skiway, beginning with an opening ceremony on March 4, where teams and athletes will be introduced by the Dartmouth Marching Band.

The competition starts on March 5 with men's and women's slalom events. The NMU team will participate in the women's 7.5k classic individual start on March 6 and the women's 20k freestyle mass start on March 8.

Fans can follow the championship through live scoring and streaming links provided by organizers.

Previously, at the NCAA Central Regional Skiing Championships, NMU's Merle Richter secured gold in the 7.5k race with a time of 24:42.7, overtaking Marie Wangen of Michigan Tech. Victoria Dybwad earned bronze with a time of 24:45.0.

In another regional race, Dybwad dominated to win gold, finishing in a time of 58:27.4 after maintaining a lead throughout most of the course.

At last year's NCAA Championships, Henriette Nilssen led NMU in the 7.5km freestyle event, finishing just over 24 minutes to place within the top thirty competitors. In the same event, Richter finished in 38th place and Dybwad in 40th.

In the subsequent women's nordic ski squad's competition at last year's championships for the 20k mass start classic event, Richter again led NMU with a finish time of 1:06:27.6 for a placement of twenty-first overall.
