NMU men's swim team earns medals on day three of GLIAC Championships

The Northern Michigan University (NMU) men's swim and dive team continued their participation in the 2025 GLIAC Championships, completing day three of the competition. The Wildcats are currently in third place with 422.5 points, following Wayne State with 495 points and Grand Valley leading with 572 points.

Day three events included the 500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, and the 800 Freestyle Relay. NMU secured two podium finishes during the day's events.

Wyatt Dickman earned a silver medal in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 53.26 seconds. Notably, Dickman set a new school record during both the preliminaries and finals of this event.

Additionally, Dickman contributed to NMU's second podium finish by anchoring the 800 Freestyle Relay team alongside Alessandro Rosatelli, Gabriel Fulconi, and Daniel Khmara. The team finished with a time of 6:31.07, improving their entry time by eight seconds.

Looking ahead to the final day of competition, NMU will compete in events including the 1650 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, and the 400 Freestyle Relay. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 5:30 p.m., both available for streaming on FloSwimming.
