The NMU women's Nordic ski team recently concluded their participation in the Freestyle 10km event at the Gitchi Gami Games SuperTour held in Cable, Wisconsin. The Wildcats competed across various categories including U18, U20, U23, Senior, and NCAA, with a total of 129 skiers participating.

Henriette Nilssen led the team with a ninth-place finish overall. She completed the course in 26:47.4, securing sixth place among both under-23 athletes and collegiate competitors. Her lap times were recorded as 8:19.6 for the first lap, 9:06.0 for the second lap totaling 17:25.6, and 8:54.0 for her final lap.

Pearl Harvey followed with a 19th-place finish overall and was eighth among senior division athletes and twelfth among collegiate participants. Her laps were timed at 8:36.0, followed by 9:31.4 to reach 18:07.4 on her second lap, and she finished with a third-lap time of 9:35.3.

Ella Niznik completed the race in 55th position overall, ranking as the 46th under-23 athlete and placing as the 28th collegiate racer. Her initial lap was completed in 9:04.7, with subsequent laps taking her to times of 10:26.5 and finally finishing at 29:56.1.

The competition continued with Day Two's Classic Sprint where Nilssen achieved a semifinal heat time of 3:35.62 after qualifying through her quarterfinal heat at a time of 3:36.54, eventually placing twelfth overall.

Jordan Parent and Pearl Harvey also competed in Day Two’s events within the same quarterfinal heat; Parent ended up placing fourth while Harvey came sixth with respective times of 3:50.26 and 3:55.67.

In qualifying rounds for Day Two's sprints, Parent ranked twenty-third overall with a time of 3:45.46 among under-23 athletes while Harvey finished twenty-eighth overall timing at 3:52.09 within the senior division category.

Meanwhile Ella Niznik posted a qualifying time of only slightly missing out on advancing further by three positions concluding thirty-third overall clocking at approximately three minutes fifty-five seconds point seven eight (3 minutes).

Looking ahead to Tuesday’s schedule features another round known as "Classic Mass Start" covering distances reaching lengths measuring twenty kilometers each contested separately following traditional formats associated commonly involving mass starts typically seen throughout cross-country skiing circuits globally worldwide today nowadays thus allowing competitors ample opportunities showcase
