Wildcats compete in Gitchi Gami Games Nordic events

Day three of the Gitchi Gami Games SuperTour concluded in Cable, Wisconsin, with the men's Nordic freestyle 10km event. The competition saw participation from four Wildcats athletes in the Skate Interval Start race.

The course spanned a total of 3403 meters, requiring skiers to complete three laps. The event featured 208 skiers competing across various age brackets, including U18/U20/U23/Sr/NCAA.

Luke Fricker was the first Wildcat to finish, securing ninth place among collegiate athletes, 13th among those under 23, and 26th overall. He completed the race in a time of 23:13.4 with lap times recorded at 7:16.6, 15:02.0 (7:45.4), and 22:49.4 (7:47.4).

Adrik Kraftson followed Fricker closely, finishing as the 12th collegiately and placing him at 17th among under-23 athletes and 33rd overall. His lap times were marked at 7:16.1 initially, then reaching 15:10.9 (7:54.8) for his second lap, and concluding with a final time of 23:01.6 (7:50.7).

Jonathan Clarke came next for the Wildcats with a collegiate rank of 14th and placing him at number 19 among under-23 competitors while securing the overall position of number35th overall Clarke started strong with an initial lap time of seven minutes fourteen point seven seconds on lap one before clocking in times fifteen minutes nine point six seconds on his second lap seven minutes fifty-four point nine seconds respectively finally completing his run twenty-three minutes seven point three seconds after starting out originally Jonathan was fastes Wildcat beginning
