Tobie Stiles from the Northern Michigan University (NMU) swim and dive team has been recognized as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Diver of the Week. This accolade follows his performance at the Calvin College Winter Invite over the weekend.
Stiles emerged as a leading male diver, securing first place in both the 3-meter and 1-meter dives. He achieved an NCAA B cut in the 3-meter dive and set a new team record in the 1-meter six-dive event, surpassing his previous record from last season.
The men's diving events were held on Friday and Saturday at Calvin College. Detailed recaps of these events are available, along with full meet results.
Looking ahead, some members of NMU's swim and dive team will travel to Miami, Florida for the CSCAA Open Water Collegiate Nationals this weekend. The team's next competition will be at home against UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, January 18 at 2 PM at the PIEF Pool.
