OhioGuidestone has announced the opening of Stillwater Crossing, a new men's substance use residential treatment center in Dennison, Ohio. The facility is located at 700 Dudgeon Way and is the first non-profit establishment of its kind in the region.
The center offers evidence-based, whole-person care services aimed at helping men in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties recover from substance use issues. The $2.7 million facility spans 7,900 square feet and can accommodate up to 16 men simultaneously.
Pam Trimmer, Vice President of Operations at OhioGuidestone, has been involved with the project since its inception ten years ago. She noted that Stillwater Crossing addresses a gap in residential services for men in this area. "Our goal is to ensure that we are providing high quality person-centered substance use services to our whole community and allow a seamless transition to after care services that support long term recovery," Trimmer stated.
Funding for Stillwater Crossing comes from a partnership between the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, ARPA funding awarded by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners, local ADAMHS funds, and donations from community partners.
