Over the weekend, Northern Michigan University (NMU) Athletics saw mixed results in their games. On Friday, November 29, the NMU hockey team faced a 4-1 defeat against Augustana. During this match, Jakob Peterson scored his first career goal.

The following day, Saturday, November 30, brought better news for NMU's men's basketball team as they secured a 70-58 victory over Concordia. Dylan Kuehl made history by becoming the 35th player in NMU Men's Basketball to surpass 1,000 career points. He contributed significantly to the game with a total of 26 points.

In another hockey match on Saturday against Augustana, NMU again experienced a 4-1 loss. Brendan Poshak achieved his first career goal during this game. Additionally, Peterson provided an assist that brought his weekend total to two points (1 goal and 1 assist), tying him for the lead in points among Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) defensemen over the weekend.
