The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has named Northern Michigan University (NMU) forward Will Diamond as the CCHA Rookie of the Week for his performance during the weekend of November 15 and 16.
Diamond participated in both games against Minnesota State, where he scored his first career collegiate goal late in the third period on Saturday. This crucial goal helped send the Wildcats to overtime, leading them to earn an additional CCHA conference point in a shootout.
Throughout the weekend, Diamond led all CCHA rookies in goals, scoring from his only shot on goal and achieving a +1 rating.
The Wildcats have no games scheduled for this upcoming weekend but will return to action on November 29 and 30. They are set to face off against the Augustana Vikings from Sioux Falls, North Dakota.
