The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's soccer team has been selected to host one of the sites for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. This marks the first time in the program's history that NMU will host the regional tournament and the third time they will participate in it.

The 'Cats, as they are known, have reached the NCAA tournament for two consecutive seasons. They are set to face Maryville on Friday, November 17, a team they were eliminated by in last season's tournament. NMU enters postseason play ranked second in the region, while Maryville is ranked seventh.

First-round matches at Marquette will occur on November 17, with second-round matches scheduled for November 19. All games will be held on NMU's campus and will feature two sites per region. The finalists from each sub-region will move forward to compete in third and quarterfinal rounds slated for November 30 or December 1 and December 2 or 3. Semifinals and championship games are scheduled for December 7 and 9 at Sportsplex at Matthews in North Carolina, hosted by Wingate University.

The schedule for Marquette includes:

- Friday, Nov. 17:

- 10 a.m.: No. 3 Grand Valley State vs. No.6 McKendree

- 1 p.m.: No.7 Maryville at No.2 Northern Michigan

- Sunday, Nov.19:

- 1 p.m.: TBD vs.TBD

Media representatives wishing to cover the event must direct credential requests through Northern Michigan Athletics Sports Information office no later than 24 hours before the tournament begins.

Preference for media seating will be given to those who apply by the deadline. National media outlets and local agencies must submit their requests regardless of location proximity to participating institutions.

Credential pickup requires a government-issued ID upon distribution approval.
