NMU women's relay team earns second-team all-American honors at NCAA championships

The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's swim and dive team began their participation in the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships with a commendable performance in the 800 Free Relay. The event took place on Tuesday night in Geneva, Ohio.

The relay team, consisting of Carlotta Santi, Becca Burrows, Anika Wright, and Meritxell Font Cantarero, secured Second-Team All-American Honors by finishing 15th. Their combined time was recorded at 7:30.17. They followed behind the University of Findlay and McKendree University, who finished with times of 7:28.27 and 7:26.35 respectively. Nova Southeastern clinched first place with a time of 7:08.50.

Following the first day of competition, NMU is positioned in 15th place overall with four points. They trail behind Findlay, which has six points, and McKendree with eight points.
