The Wildcats secured an automatic bid into the NCAA Regional tournament by winning the GLIAC tournament. Their current national ranking is 8th, marking a historic high for the program. They have been featured in national polls for eight consecutive weeks, according to United Soccer Coaches. Additionally, they are ranked second in their region, potentially granting them home-field advantage for the initial rounds.

The schedule for the 2023 DII women's soccer championship begins with the selection show airing on Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ncaa.com. First-round games are scheduled for either November 16 or 17, followed by second-round games on November 18 or 19. Third-round matches will occur on November 30 or December 1, with quarterfinals set for December 2 or 3. Semifinals are slated for December 7, and the national championship final will be held on December 9.

This single-elimination tournament includes 56 teams selected through regional berths based on access ratio.
