The NMU women's swim and dive team concluded the second day of the NCAA DII Swimming and Diving Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The men's 200 Medley Relay team earned First-Team All-American honors.
Currently, the women rank 14th out of 26 teams with a score of 29 points. They trail behind WCU, which has 34 points, and Wayne State with 35 points.
Anika Wright competed in the 1000 Free event, finishing in 29th place out of 39 participants with a time of 10:17.90.
The standout performance came from Camilla Carbone, Zoe DeKievit, Meritxell Font Cantarero, and Becca Burrows in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. They finished sixth and received First-Team All-American honors with a time of 1:41.35. This was just one second behind first place Lynn's time of 1:40.14.
The competition continues on Thursday for the women’s team with events including the 200 free, 400 IM,100 butterfly, and 400 Medley Relay.
