Women's relay team wins gold at GLIAC Championships

Day one of the GLIAC Championships concluded in Holland, Michigan, with notable performances from several teams. The women's 200 Medley Relay Team secured a gold medal with a time of 1:41.29. The team, composed of Camilla Carbone, Zoe DeKievit, Meritxell Font Cantarero, and Becca Burrows, achieved a team record and posted the third-fastest time in the country. Becca Burrows anchored the relay with an impressive lap time of 23.03.

In addition to her contribution to the relay team, Burrows earned a bronze medal in the 50 Yard Freestyle event. The 'Cats' 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team—consisting of Alyssa Bloser, Burrows, Olivia Haerr, and Mia Strazny—also claimed a bronze medal.

After the first day of competition, the 'Cats are in third place with 168.5 points. Grand Valley State leads with 230 points, followed by Wayne State with 211 points.

The championships will continue tomorrow with events including the 100 Butterfly, 400 Individual Medley, 200 Freestyle, 3 Meter Diving, and 400 Medley Relay.
