NMU women's relay team earns Second-Team All-America at NCAA championships

The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women's swim and dive team concluded their participation in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday in Geneva, Ohio. The highlight of their performance was the 400 Medley Relay team achieving Second-Team All-American status.

As of Thursday's session, NMU is positioned 17th out of 34 teams with a total of 41 points. They are closely following Delta State, which has 42 points, and Grand Valley with 44 points.

The team's achievement came from the efforts of Camilla Carbone, Zoe DeKievit, Meritxell Font Cantarero, and Carlotta Santi. They completed the relay with a time of 3:43.99, securing an 11th place finish and narrowly missing the ninth position by just .07 seconds.

The NMU team will continue to compete in events including the 500 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and 200 butterfly.
