Three Northern Michigan University (NMU) golfers have been recognized with All-GLIAC honors. Maya Hunter, Russel Sprecher, and Alyssa Yaggie received accolades for their performances in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

"It was a great year for many of our team members," said head coach Eric Johnson. "These awards are the result of lots of hard work, and are more than well deserved."

Maya Hunter achieved her first All-GLIAC honor with a women's first-team selection. Currently competing as an individual at the NCAA East Regional Championships, Hunter secured her first career win at the Lewis Spring Invite. She was named GLIAC Golfer of the Week on March 27, 2024, following her second-place finish at the Klash in Kentucky. Additionally, she placed sixth at the GLIAC Championships and finished in the top ten in all five of her spring meets.

Russel Sprecher earned a spot on the men's All-GLIAC Second-Team after an impressive season. Sprecher won individually twice this season, beginning with a victory at the Davenport Panther Invitational where he led NMU to its first GLIAC tournament win since 2015. His efforts earned him GLIAC Golfer of the Week honors. Sprecher's second-round score of 62 is now NMU's best 18-hole score ever recorded, matching a program-best he set previously. He claimed another individual gold at the Klash in Kentucky during spring and finished seventeenth at the GLIAC Championships.

Alyssa Yaggie received her first All-GLIAC selection with an honorable mention. Earlier this year, she led NMU to a second-place finish at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate by shooting rounds of 73 and 74 to secure second place individually. Her total score of 147 over two rounds ranks fifth in NMU women's golf history.
