The Northern Michigan cross country team is set to compete at the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, Illinois, on Saturday, October 7. The race will commence at 10:45 a.m., and it marks the Wildcats' return to Romeoville after their last appearance in 2021, where they finished seventh out of 25 teams.

In their previous outing at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minnesota, Northern Michigan secured a 12th place finish among 38 teams. Madi Szymanski led the Wildcats with a time of 22:52.7, placing her 15th overall. She was fifth at the first mile split with a time of 5:42.2 and ninth at the halfway point with a time of 10:48.7.
Ava Maginity completed her run in 24:25.4, earning an 80th place finish, while Skylar Grubb rounded out the top-100 for Northern Michigan by finishing in 90th place with a time of 24:34.3.
