The Wildcats faced off against the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals in University Center, Michigan, concluding with a 2-3 loss. Noah Johnson and Cian Tunney scored for the Wildcats, equalizing twice during the match. However, the Cardinals secured victory with a goal in the 82nd minute.

This result places the Wildcats at 2-9-2 overall and 1-6-1 in their conference. The Cardinals improved to 4-5-3 overall and 2-3-2 in the GLIAC. Coach Alex Fatovic commented on his team's performance: "Absolutely gutted for the boys again. After fighting back twice from behind on the road, and with 3 clear chances to equalize at the end, our boys show they will continue to fight no matter what. I'm very proud of their efforts and spirit through this tough season."

Noah Johnson scored his first career goal just before halftime, while Cian Tunney's penalty kick marked his second goal of the season. Logan Lazar contributed his first career assist by setting up Johnson's goal.

Despite outshooting their opponents 14-10, the Wildcats could not capitalize on several opportunities late in the game. Both teams had five shots on target, but Saginaw Valley was awarded more corner kicks.

Niko Scheibal received a red card and Jan Hoffmann a yellow card during this match; both players will be unavailable for Sunday's game against Davenport.

In terms of gameplay details, Mzo Mthembu scored first for Saginaw Valley in the 17th minute. The Wildcats' goalkeeper Bryce Beckley made crucial saves throughout both halves to keep his team competitive.

The Wildcats will next face Davenport Panthers on Sunday as they conclude their regular-season road trip.
