Four players from the Northern Michigan University football team have been recognized by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for their performances this season. The announcement was made on Thursday, November 16.

Charlie Gerhard, a tight end and redshirt junior from Iron Mountain, Michigan, earned Second Team honors. He made 23 catches for 225 yards and scored once with a notable 54-yard touchdown reception against Grand Valley State. Gerhard also contributed significantly as a blocker and served as the long snapper during kicks.

Kyle Sahr, a fullback and junior from Lapeer, Michigan, received an Honorable Mention. Sahr caught 24 passes for 194 yards and rushed eight times for 27 yards. His role included being the lead blocker ahead of the ball carrier and participating in special teams.

Mitch Larkin, a sophomore linebacker from Palatine, Illinois, also received an Honorable Mention. He led the GLIAC with 116 tackles—59 solo and 57 assisted—and added two pass breakups, two quarterback hits, an interception, and a fumble recovery to his season stats.

Jax Hertel, a freshman linebacker from Walworth, Wisconsin, finished third on the Wildcats with 64 total tackles. He tied for ninth in the GLIAC with two interceptions; his first was a notable 20-yard pick-six against Lake Erie.
