Northern Michigan University's men's basketball team has announced its schedule for the 2024-25 season, featuring a dozen home games at the newly renovated Vandament Arena, twelve away games, and four neutral site matchups in Wisconsin Dells.
The Wildcats' schedule begins with an exhibition game against NMU alum Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans at the Superior Dome on October 13. The regular season will commence in Wisconsin Dells with games against Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville on November 8 and 9. They will return to the Dells on November 16 to face Illinois-Springfield before heading to Duluth for matchups with Minnesota State Moorhead and Minnesota Duluth on November 22 and 23.
NMU's first home game in Vandament Arena is set for November 30 against Concordia (WI). The arena boasts a capacity of over 1,500 and two state-of-the-art scoreboards. Following this debut, GLIAC play begins with home games against Purdue Northwest and Parkside on December 5 and 7.
The Wildcats will travel back to Wisconsin Dells to play Upper Iowa on December 14 before returning home to host Northland on December 21, concluding their games for the year.
In January, NMU resumes conference play downstate at Davenport and Grand Valley on January 2 and 4. They will then host four consecutive home games: Michigan Tech on January 9, Roosevelt on January 13, Wayne State on January 16, and Saginaw Valley State on January 18.
Subsequent road trips include Ferris State (January 23) and Lake Superior State (January 25), followed by home games against Grand Valley (January 30) and Davenport (February 1). Further away fixtures are scheduled at Saginaw Valley (February 6) and Wayne State (February8).
The final regular-season home games will be played against Lake Superior State (February13)and FerrisState(February15). The season concludes with away matches starting at Michigan Tech(February20)and ending at Purdue Northwest(March1).
