The NMU Women's Soccer Staff is set to host a residential ID camp in Marquette, Michigan. The camp, aimed at athletes from 8th grade and up, will provide participants with the opportunity to stay in dorms, receive coaching from NMU staff, tour athletic facilities, and engage in various soccer sessions.
"I'm really looking forward to being a part of this year's residential ID camp!" said new assistant coach Natalie Stampfly. "We found some of our current players from camps just like this one and often recruit directly from our ID camps. It's a great experience for everyone and we've been excited to be able to bring back the residential portion of our camps."
The camp is scheduled for July 28th through July 31st at the NMU Outdoor Soccer Fields located behind the Superior Dome near Lake Superior. Registration details are available on the NMU Ticketing website.
Camp costs are $350 per resident camper, which includes instruction, dorm stay, and meals. Commuter campers can attend for $225, covering instruction and meals. One-day commuter prices are also available: $125 for either July 29 or July 30.
Participants should bring appropriate gear including cleats, water bottles, sunscreen, extra shirts (for commuters), pillows, blankets (optional), athletic attire, toiletries, snacks as needed/wanted (for residents).
The daily schedule includes multiple training sessions interspersed with meal times and downtime activities:
- Sunday: Resident check-in at noon; commuters check-in at 1:30 PM; training sessions from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 7:00 PM-8:30 PM.
- Monday & Tuesday: Breakfast at 8:00 AM; training sessions from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM and 2:30 PM-4:00 PM; dinner followed by evening training.
