Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced the recent appointment of Charles A. Grandy as Berrien County Public Administrator. Nessel expressed her confidence in Grandy, stating, “With his extensive background in estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration, I know he will serve the Berrien County community well."
State Public Administrator Randi M. Merchant also praised Grandy's appointment, highlighting the importance of county public administrators in Michigan's Probate Court system. Merchant stated, “I am confident that County Public Administrator Grandy will be an outstanding addition to the team of talented and dedicated attorneys that serve in this role across the State.”
Grandy, a resident of St. Joseph, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has a background in engineering and law, having earned degrees from Duke University and Ball State University. Grandy's legal career includes work in estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, HR law, mergers and acquisitions, business law, and civil litigation.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Grandy is actively involved in his community, serving on various boards and coaching youth sports. He was recently recognized as a Distinguished Alumni of St. Joseph High School. Grandy was sworn in as Berrien County Public Administrator on April 23rd.
