Enjoy a day full of fall demonstrations and activities with Portage Parks & Recreation, on Sunday, September 18, from 10 AM - 2 PM at the Celery Flats Historical Area, 7335 Garden Lane.
During Fall Festival, historic buildings at the Celery Flats Historical Area will be open for tours along with historical demonstrations such as rope making, broom making, quilt making, glass blowing, pottery, woodturning, and blacksmithing. Scheumann Farm & Petting Zoo will be on-site with a collection of farm animals, including Roscoe the camel. Horse-drawn carriage rides will run every 30 minutes from 10 AM – 1 PM, with limited space, from the Celery Flats Historical Area to the Portage Farmers Market at City Hall. Music will be provided by Megan Dooley from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The Crescendo Fiddlers will also be performing at 1 PM. This event is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required.
Parking will be available at Celery Flats auxiliary and grass lots, City Hall, Zhang Portage Community Senior Center, and Portage Community Center.
