A public hearing will be held by City Council on July 12, 2022, to receive comments on the following:

Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) Agreement: 945 Clark Road 

City Council will review a PILOT Agreement for a Planned Unit Development at 945 Clark Rd. Specifically, the development consists of two buildings containing 308 units including a senior and family apartment complex. The City of Ypsilanti passed a Community Benefits Ordinance, currently located at Section 30- 500 of the Ypsilanti City Code which provided for the appointment of a Citizen Committee to negotiate with a Developer who has requested public support from the Community, namely in terms of a PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) of 3% of Annual Shelter Rents. Following the culmination of these public meetings with the citizen committee and negotiations with the developer City Council will now consider an ordinance to authorize a PILOT Agreement for 3% of Annual Shelter Rents. 

The Ordinance will be included in the packet available at cityofypsilanti.com/agendacenter and the meeting will be held in Council Chambers, at Ypsilanti City Hall, located at 1 S Huron St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The City invites all interested persons to attend this meeting or to send written comments to the City of Ypsilanti, Community & Economic Development Department, One South Huron Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197.  The City of Ypsilanti will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired, Limited English Proficiency (LEP) services, and audios of printed materials being considered at the meeting.  Individuals requiring auxiliary aids or services should provide two (2) days’ notice to the City, and contact the City by writing the City Clerk's Office, One South Huron Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197; or by calling the Clerk’s Office at (734) 483-1100.
