Today, the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) released all interior video footage obtained from the Meijer store related to the April 25 officer-involved shooting at 1350 W. Lake Lansing Road in East Lansing.
“This video footage is being released as a part of ELPD’s ongoing commitment to transparency in this case and to accommodate a request made by the East Lansing Independent Police Oversight Commission,” said East Lansing Police Chief Kim Johnson. “There are a total of 12 videos that show footage from inside the store, with redaction of some faces, where needed, to ensure privacy.”
On Friday, May 13, the Michigan State Police announced it had completed its investigation of the April 25 officer-involved shooting. The investigation has been turned over to the Michigan Attorney General’s Office for review.
