City of Walker Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct 30.
Gun safety is so important.
If you have the slightest suspicion a child knows where a gun is kept, move it. If they find it, they will likely play with it. Children are naturally curious & that can be a recipe for tragedy.
Also, your car is not a gun safe. All too often we take larceny reports where firearms are taken from unlocked vehicles. Sadly these firearms are sometimes used in other crimes.
Be a responsible gun owner. Keep them locked in a proper place & away from children. It could save a life.
