Census Bureau: More women than men in Michigan in 2019

Of the 9,965,265 people living in Michigan in 2019, 50.8 percent (5,060,025) were women and 49.2 percent (4,905,240) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Great Lakes Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 26,358. In the 65 and over age range, there were 923,036 females and 743,307 males.
