Adrian College issued the following announcement.
In a response to its COVID-19 Preparedness Plan and State of Michigan recommendations, Adrian College’s faculty and administration have adjusted the College’s 2020-2021 academic calendar. The adjustment allows for the start of the fall semester to begin as originally scheduled but end on November 25. These date changes are being made in order to make Adrian College’s campus as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our goal at Adrian College is to be one of the safest college campuses in America,” Adrian College President Jeffrey R. Docking said. “This calendar change is one of many precautions we are taking on campus to enhance student safety.”
The fall academic calendar adjustments are as follows:
Fall Semester 2020:
August 24: Classes begin for all 15-week courses and Term A Graduate Courses
August 25: Last day to register, last day to add/drop a Term A Graduate Course
September 1: Last day to add/drop a 15-week course
September 7: Labor Day-no classes
September 8: Classes resume (7:30 a.m.). Last day to withdraw from a Term A Graduate Course
September 22: Last day to report any grade changes from Spring, May or Summer 2020
October 19: Mid-Term grades due at noon for 15-week courses, last day of classes for Term A
Graduate Courses, classes begin for Term B Graduate Courses.
October 23: Last day to withdraw from a 15-week course
October 26-Nov. 6: Advising and Registration for Spring 2021
November 2: Last Day to withdraw from a Term B Graduate Course
November 18: Last day of classes for 15-week courses
November 19-November 24: Final Exams for 15-week courses
November 25: Winter Break begins
December 9: Final grades due
