CITY OF ADRIAN: Curbside Yard Waste Collection!

City of Adrian issued the following announcement on April 28.

Spring yard waste collection will begin immediately and carry through until May 8, 2020. The City will collect yard waste and bundled branches/ brush twice throughout the city limits within this time period. Yard waste must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 AM on May 8, 2020. All yard waste shall be placed in biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags and must not weigh more than fifty (50) pounds. Unapproved containers, including plastic bags, will not be picked up for collection.

Bundled branches and brush must meet the following guidelines:

• Tied in bundles no longer than three (3) feet.

• Bundles are placed parallel with the curb.

• Bundles weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.

The compost site, located off of Oakwood Ave, will open on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Hours of operation are Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

All yard waste deposited at the compost site in anything other than biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags must be removed from the bag or container.
