Adrian College issued the following announcement on March 13.
Due to Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s recent recommendation to cancel or postpone large gatherings, conferences and sporting events (e.g. events with over 100 people), Adrian College has canceled Scholarship Day, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, to limit the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
“We regret having to cancel this popular event with such short notice,” said Frank Hribar, Adrian College Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs. “However, considering the recommendations from Governor Whitmer, we felt canceling the event was in the best interest of the Adrian College community and public safety.”
