City of East Grand Rapids issued the following announcement.
Waterfront Park Buckthorn Service Learning Day
Saturday, January 11, 2020
Stewards are needed to help cut stump and treat targeted species that are growing unchecked and poisoning wildlife. We invite all ages out to work in teams but only 18 years old and up may treat the invasive stumps. Wear warm clothes, long sleeves, pants and closed toed shoes. All supplies, gloves, eye protection, tools and training will be provided. Additional parking is located at the Public Works Complex/Remington Baseball Field parking lot. 2310 Reeds Lake Blvd.
