Rob Minard, a resident of Bath Township, pleaded guilty to two felony charges in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County. The plea was entered before Judge James Jamo as part of an agreement announced by Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Minard faced several felony charges in December 2024, including conducting a criminal enterprise. Authorities alleged he misappropriated funds from three non-profit organizations and two political action committees associated with former Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield.

As part of his plea, Minard admitted to one count of larceny by false pretenses—specifically for taking between $20,000 and $50,000 from Working Together for a Better Michigan, an independent political action committee. He also pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return. According to the Attorney General’s office, “As a condition of the plea agreement, Minard has agreed to provide truthful testimony in future hearings.”

The court also ordered Minard to pay full restitution for amounts owed to the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 17 at 11 a.m. in the same court.
