On this week’s episode of the Small Business Association of Michigan’s podcast, Michael Rogers interviewed Jeff Snyder, managing director of the Sunfield Center in Ann Arbor. The Sunfield Center was recently named one of the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch.

Founded in 2011, the Sunfield Center offers clinical services for autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders. It has expanded from three staff members in 2015 to a current team of 35 and has served over 5,000 families across Michigan. The center also provides professional training through its Sunfield Institute and extends training opportunities globally.

During the interview, Snyder addressed common misunderstandings about autism. “One of the biggest misconceptions [about autism] that fortunately I think is going away, is that if you know one person who’s autistic, you know everybody who’s autistic,” he said. “It very much is a spectrum, there is such variance about autism and what that might look like.”
